When you wash a baby with a washcloth, start with the eyes, from inside and out. Continue with the rest of the face and then down over the body. Take extra care in all skin folds as under the arms, under the cheek, behind ears and the groins. These areas easily gets warm and damp, which may create red and irritated skin.

Finish by wiping of the baby with a dry washcloth or care towel.
